Abstract

The article analyzes immediate ways of integrating generative artificial intelligence into History teacher education. It argues that teachers’ perplexity regarding AI reveals previous weaknesses in training, especially in logic, ethics, writing, statistics, and didactic planning. As a result, it proposes mediated integration through the redistribution of disciplinary time and teacher self-assessment. It concludes that AI should support, not replace, teachers’ professional judgment.
