A DIGITAL APPROACH TO CEEARAN RAILWAY HISTORIOGRAPHY

Abstract

The various themes that involve Ceará's railway stations are essential for the production of Ceará's social, cultural and economic history, since these buildings were built in several cities in the State, involving underdeveloped cities, even those considered to be larger. Considering that railway stations have a series of historical sources of a documentary, journalistic or photographic nature, for example, the objective of this article is to show that these sources, when included the adjective "historical", should not be restricted to material spaces, but also to a much more interactive and innovative dimension that is the digital sphere, requiring a certain adaptation from the population. In this way, enabling a greater expansion in the reach of the public who will have access to this information that were forgotten in a public file, or private.Therefore, the main methodology to defend our objective is the analysis of the various ways of making the history of the Ceará railroad in a digital way, demonstrating that it is possible to access the stories and memories of the Ceará railroad through a “simple click”.
